Your Profile

It is essential that you will have several years' experience at a senior level as a writer/manager or director in medical communications agency environments. You will need to have proven experience in a similar role and be very strategic with a clear focus for Business Development across the medical communications industry. You will be an expert in the development of preparing pitch documents as well as presenting to the medical & pharmaceutical industry and managing the programmes from initial development through to final product. Medical writing experience and writing for communication based audiences is essential for this role. You will have final copy of all documents in conjunction with your Medical Writing Manager.

The Role

To develop and implement strategy for winning new business across the medical communications sector. You will be expected to identify new business opportunities and be the lead in securing business through tender and pitch documentation. Overseeing a team of medical writers and a medical writing manager but the essense of this role is client attraction and retaining existing business opportunities so management is optional depending on skill sets and experience. You will be overseeing the medical communications programmes and project manage these. As a member of the Senior Management team you will be promoting all aspects of their business offerings to their client portfolios.
