A leading Medical Publications company based in London are looking for a Publications Line Manager who will be required to provide line management for a team of Programme Managers across the Healthcare and ICT sectors. And to manage development programmes from inception to publication in line with market needs.
Main Duties
- Lead team of Programme Managers in delivery of Operational plan
- Support delivery of sector strategy by management of team resources to meet identified publishing targets for the sector
- Provide input for budget preparation
- Ongoing management of delivery against budget (SAP data quality, performance tracking, revenue analysis)
- Coordination with Editorial and Production team managers to ensure alignment of project planning
- Manage team performance (one-to-one meetings, performance review, salary recommendations, monthly reports)
- Priority area of focus will be Medical Devices, both in terms of formal work programme delivery and input to the development of new products in this area.
- Manage a portfolio of committees containing a mixture of Materials & Healthcare/ICT & Electronics committees
- Obtain input from relevant interest groups through committee membership or other means
- Support committee website if needed
- Programme Management
Ideal Candidate
- Strong interpersonal/influencing skills.
- Previous Line Management duties within the publishing sector
- Good commercial awareness ideally with Medical Devices
- Proven planning and organisation skills
- Knowledge of market trends.
- Good IT skills.
