Their product portfolio covers anything from a simple mobile phone accessory to their own complete mobile and fixed line businesses.
Tesco Telecoms is a completely self-sufficient business with their own teams in Marketing, Commercial, Finance, Business Development and Operations. The position will be based at their Head Office in Welwyn Garden City, but may require occasional travel to other office locations.
Key responsibilities/accountabilities
a) Ensure you deliver your budgeted Sales, Markdown and stock for store and Tesco Direct channel.
b) Plan a successful strategy with the Buying Team.
c) Build robust reporting data and analyze sales to aid decision making.
d) Ensure that Range Changes, Promotions and Great Seasonal Events are delivered in full and within the agreed Critical Path timelines.
e) Ensure that product ranges deliver clear statements and fulfill the Financial Targets.
f) Identify and respond to changes in trading conditions and ensure action is taken to optimize sales, profit and customer offer.
g) Ensure the weekly trade meetings drive out actions which improve performance.
h) Lead the implementation of new policies and processes and ensure best practice is embedded across the department.
i) Work with the Buying team in achieving the category depot service level target
j) Manage the supply base.
Knowledge/Experience:
a) The successful candidate will have significant experience of Merchandise and Stock Planning within a multi site retail business.
b) You will have a proven track record of the management of Range Planning,
Open To Buy control and wssi’s. You will have a good understanding of supply chain processes and experience of merchandising continuity and non-continuity products ideally within the Telecoms area but not essential.
c) You will also have a proven track record of contribution within a high performance Department.
d) Able to Liaise and influence at all levels of management, both internally and externally. You should be a good ambassador for our client with excellent interpersonal skills.
