Microsoft Systems Engineer, York, North Yorkshire; Infrastructure
Our client is one of the world’s premier Microsoft Gold partners and a leading managed service provider that specialise in high end application and infrastructure management.Due to expansion they are currently seeking a Microsoft Systems Engineer with 3 years commercial experience (within a similar role) to join their team.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:-
- Daily management of current infrastructure.
- Deployment of new infrastructure and application platforms.
- Ensure availability of enterprise customer systems, applications and infra-structure by pro-active management, maintenance and monitoring.
- Carrying out agreed support procedures within SLAs.
Responsible for day-to-day technical quality and technical resolution of one or more customer services.
Incident management, change management and problem management duties.
The successful candidate will possess the following skills and experience:-- Core Microsoft Server Technologies
- Active Directory
- Networking (TCP/IP and related services)
- This role will involve considerable customer liaison, therefore you must have excellent communication skills.
Any of the following would be highly desirable:-
- MCP / MCSA / MCSE
- Knowledge of ITIL
