Are you an experienced Moulding Engineer with a background in plastic moulding process and manufacturing, looking for an exciting new challenge?. Working for a leading first tier supplier to the Automotive Industry, this is a leading player in servicing the needs of most of the major motor manufacturers in Europe.
The suitable candidate will be required to introduce moulding processes that meet the customer requirements and must have the following skills and be able to demonstrate their application in previous job roles-
· Setting quality standards for moulding quality.
· Introduction of equipment and ancillary's necessary for the moulding of quality
components.
· Ensure equipment is introduced that produces quality parts and meets company
Philosophies.
· Communicate with equipment suppliers so that the company is supported with
the necessary equipment to produce quality parts.
· To work in conjunction with tooling engineers following company tooling
procedures
· To supervise and carry out tool trials either individually or in conjunction with
Technicians.
· To lead improvement teams for moulding processes
· To generate tool trials reports and process capability data
· Be an active member of the design feasibility team.
· Be an active member of tooling feasibility reviews.
· To be an active member of Design and Process FMEA teams.
· To lead or be part of improvement teams working on a wide range of projects.
· To communicate by written and verbal means using the Company
communication channels to ensure the understanding of colleagues and
management.
Experience with the following equipment would also be an advantage;
Presses from 450t to 1300t.
Moulding machines and sub machines.
Gate cutter machines and loading machines.
Machine parameters for right outputs.
In addition, it would be beneficial to have
·Experience of a moulding background
Experience of projects/process skills
Experience of Kaizan activities
Experience within an automotive background.
We are looking for a dynamic individual who is educated to an ONC in an Engineering or plastic related subject (or equivalent), with good PC skills and a will to succeed in a forward moving company.
