We are currently seeking a qualified Music Teacher for an oversubscribed, high achieving school based in South Essex. This is a permanent position, starting in January 2010. It can be either full or part time, dependant on the candidate. Although this could be a suitable position for a newly qualified teacher, there is the potential for a more experienced candidate to take responsibility for a key stage.
You will need:
. Sound knowledge of teaching subject
- An interest in professional development
- The ability to communicate with adults and children
- To be able to encourage and be sympathetic where appropriate to pupils
- The ability to work under direction from HOD/Pastoral Head
- The ability to work effectively within a team
- Good organisation skills contributing positively to departmental and school
improvement
- Experience of word processing, desktop publishing and Excel
- Ability to use own initiative
- Ability to work under pressure, to be flexible and responsive
- Be able to maintain a sense of humour when everyone else has lost theirs!
