NOC Engineer - c£24,000 per annum
Location: London, Central London, City of London, Docklands
A fantastic and rare opportunity for an experienced NOC engineer & customer facing problem analyst to assist in further building and enhancing the reputation and "quality brand" of a leading Telecommunications service provider. Through the provision of problem management, root cause analysis and fault management services, we require an experience NOC Engineer or Network Support Engineer to fulfil the Fault Management Engineer vacancy.
Woking for this highly respected & global brand as part of the Customer Network Operations team, the position is offered on a permanent basis with a basic salary of circa £24,000 plus Bonus, Pension, Health Care and other corporate benefits. Working on standard business hours but may include some weekend or evening work as and when required.
Reporting to the NOC team Leader, the role is located in the central London, city of London and Docklands area. The position is based within the company's technical hub & Network Operations Centre, forming part of the customer operations department.
The Customer Network Support Engineer role is accountable for service continuity, acting on behalf of major corporate customers. The position provides telephone based support to take ownership of network infrastructure, internet connectivity and Wide Area networking services & faults. Typically you will support a broad range of Wide Area Network (WAN) based products and services across Voice, Data and Connectivity infrastructure. This includes ADSL, SDSL, LLU, Ethernet, Leased Lines, ISDN etc.
You will provide customers with high quality support during technical faults and problem issues including taking ownership for diagnosing faults, investigating problems, rectifying outages and generally resolving issues whilst maintaining regular customer contact and quality customer services.
Engaged at every level and throughout the full 360 degrees of network support and problem management you can expect to be involved with; ensuring that all customer facing services are running satisfactorily, analysing alerts highlighted in monitoring systems, incident management, investigating problems with Cisco routing protocols & IP networking technologies including IP/VPN, MPLS, BGP, OSPF, RIP, TCP/IP etc, Logging & managing faults in the ticketing systems, troubleshooting any service affecting faults that may need attention, root cause analysis, & providing outstanding customer service and feedback to maintain service level agreements (SLA's) and key performance indicators (KPI's) .
To be considered for this opportunity candidates must possess previous proven experience within an analytical, fault management or similar Network engineering support role within the Network Operations Centre of a leading Technology, Telecom, Internet or ISP company.
You will have a broad understanding of ISP, Telecom or Hosting technology products and services including WAN, Voice, Data, Connectivity, ADSL, SDSL, LLU, Ethernet, Cisco, IP Networking, IP/VPN, MPLS etc.
Candidates with strong analytical skills, relationship management, customer services and concise communication & reporting abilities are required. Previous experience of providing support to major corporate customers is essential.
