CLIENT
My client is the UK division of a global food manufacturing group. The business is a major player in the UK grocery market and has a number of sites throughout the country. This role sits within their own label chilled food division, an area that is going through a phase of consistent growth.
JOB
Reporting to the Commercial Director for the division. You will be responsible for managing all commercial activity within a leading grocery multiple account. You will have full P&L responsibility for a business unit that is worth c£100m and will lead a team of 3 individuals.
Due to a strengthening commercial relationship with the retailer the account has shown strong growth during FY09, the challenge is to further develop the business going forward.
There is also significant amount of NPD activity currently activity taking place and a core element of the role will be to ensure the successful launch of new products and ranges throughout 2010.
CANDIDATE
You will currently be operating in either a Controller or Senior Commercial Manager role and be looking tojoin a major food business in a Controller level position.
You will have a successful track record in Sales and have extensive experience of the grocery multiple sales channel. You will also be able to demonstrate strong people management and leadership skills.
Commercial Management will be your specialism but you will also have a solid understanding of both Category Management and NPD processes.
Commercially astute and motivated to succeed you will be an ambitious individual who is keen to further their career within a major blue chip business.
Previous experience within the food sector is essential for this role.
