Job Role

Reporting into the Business Account Manager, this National Account Manager role will manage the relationship and commercial development of the `format` parts of our client`s largest Grocery account. Working on the Convenience side of this major mult, you will carry full P&L responsibility for the Irish business, as well as shared responsibility for the formats. This is a relatively new area for our client, so relationships need to be built, doors knocked down, benefits of our client`s brands sold, negotiations carried out, ranges and margins agreed and new listings gained. In this competitive environment, you will need to make your mark on the buyer(s) and will need to show plenty of tenacity - as well as initiative and autonomy. To be considered for this exciting National Account Manager role, you should:
- Have current experience of working in a sales focused role in the UK FMCG (ideally Food / Drink) market
- Have experience of managing either the mults (major or minor), National Convenience retailers such as Co-Op, Musgraves and Spar or Major Cash & Carry groups
- Have a firm understanding of - not necessarily experience of managing - Profit & Loss on a National level
- Be a strong negotiator with a tenacious streak
- Be able to influence major stakeholders at all levels - internal and external
- Bea `self-starter`, show initiative, be resilient and organised
- Be able to work autonomously but also
