Exciting NATIONAL SALES and NATIONAL ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT opportunity has arisen to work for the largest express carrier and package delivery company in the world, who are also a leading provider of transportation, logistics, capital and e-commerce services. The National Account role will be based from an office closest to the successful candidates home within the HAMPSHIRE, DORSET and BERKSHIRE region targetting new and managing large strategic accounts within International Courier Road and Air, UK Express Parcels and Mail services throughout a large territory incorporating HAMPSHIRE, BERKSHIRE and DORSET. The successful applicant will need to reside in one of these areas.

ROLE
Based from one of their BERKSHIRE, DORSET or HAMPSHIRE offices the role is to be responsible for the entire sales process from intelligence gathering and prospecting to negotiating, securing and managing new and existing major accounts. You will be converting, maintaining and growing customer accounts with a potential spend in excess of £5,000 per month. You will also source and maintain a database of prospect accounts with a potential spend in excess of £15,000 a month, with new business target of £8,000 month through generating new business or expanding existing.
An NAE will be targeted to 12.5 appointments each week, of which 65% should be dedicated to new/growth business. This is based on Four days on road and One day in the office.
An NAE is involved more in a consultative sell, an industry specialist who should be self motivated and can offer logistical solutions and self taught service enhancements.
By managing the sales process the NAE will guide and co-ordinate the activities of others to meet customer needs and enhance customer satisfaction. By making recommendations/proposals, being persistent and overcoming resistance, the NAE will be able to influence and close the sell.
PERSON
Looking for experienced field sales / account management executives with a strong commercial acumen and a commitment to provide the highest level of customer service. You need to be professional, goal orientated, a real people person and able to demonstrate a proven track record of success. A stable working background is also important. Ideally you will have worked within a parcel/courier or similar transport realted industry.
