The Role…

Working alongside the sales and installations team you will be tasked to understand our clients technical requirements and their business challenges and translate then in to effective technical solutions. You will be responsible for supporting the technical elements of customer presentations, quotations and tender documentation.

Working at a senior level, you will have a consultative service approach and a deep understanding of how Microsoft and Cisco technologies can solve client problems and generate value to our clients. The role will involve responsibility for providing, developing and maintaining a professional pre sales service to prospective customers and the sales team. This is a customer facing role and therefore first class interpersonal and communication skills are vital.

The Person we are looking for...

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in a similar industry and of implementing, configuring and providing technical knowledge transfer to customers on relevant information, and demonstrable experience of designing successful solutions.

  • Must have proven commercial acumen, along with strong listening and inter-personal skills.
  • Proficient at capturing requirements and conveying them to relevant parties via clear and detailed project documentation.
  • Demonstrable track record in the development and delivery of differentiated custom solutions
  • The ability to produce advanced technical concepts and will be highly competent at presenting to key decision makers.
  • You will assist sales and internal staff to maximise solutions and revenue opportunities through support, training, on site demonstrations, and customer proposals.

Key Responsibilities…

  • Working closely with new and existing customers to understand and facilitate requirements, and designing and delivering solutions to meet these.
  • Collaborating with other teams within the division to develop a holistic service offering in order to meet customer requirements.
  • Working closely with internal teams to pull together expertise to support the delivery of the solution for the customer.
  • Act as the ongoing 'solution owner' ensuring that the customer has a consistent expert point of contact for services solutions and queries.
  • Supporting bid teams and sales teams in meetings with customers and potential customers to present and explain solutions, and how these can be tailored to meet potential requirements.
  • Develop customer-specific proposals to support this process.

You must have…

  • Experience of designing solutions around Microsoft and Cisco Technologies
  • Solid VMware knowledge
  • Experience of Implementing infrastructure changes for key projects
  • General technical architecture to client on infrastructure and operational processes and procedures
  • The ability to identify current issues regarding technical capacity or performance
  • The skills to identify areas for improvement or innovation based on service requirements
  • Experience of the delivery of transition/transformation alongside Project Managers
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • The ability to multi task, work well under pressure whilst working to tight deadlines
  • Energy and enthusiasm with a 'can do' mentality
  • A desire for a challenging, fast changing, innovative role
  • A proven track record of exceeding customer expectations
  • Experience in presenting at Director or CEO level

Skills required…

  • Of graduate calibre with experience of working as a business analyst in a fast-paced, quality-driven and highly customer facing environment.
  • Experience of defining and specifying complex commercial systems, with any experience of developing IT services being of benefit.
  • Strong commercial awareness and excellent analytical skills with a strong track record in specifying and delivering requirements on complex projects.
  • A high degree of personal creditability, including strong influencing and communication skills and proven ability to work effectively with senior level stakeholders.
  • Extremely customer focused, coupled with high levels of process and solution ownership.
  • Ability to make sound judgments and decisions, excellent planning and organising skills, high levels of tenacity and drive.
  • Candidates must have the following qualifications; MCSE, CCNA PRINCE2 & ITIL
