Position: Night Department Manager (Fresh Food / Chilled)
Location: London and Southeast, various opportunities available
Salary: £21-27K depending on size and location of store, with a further 3,900 supplement for working nights
ROLE:
You will be responsible for over seeing the operations during the Night for all Fresh Produce and Chilled Departments. While ensuring that you team is well organised, motivated and competent your main responsibilities will be as follows.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
a) Working shoulder to shoulder with my team to deliver department operational routines and processes
b) Covering as a Duty Manager, ensuring the store delivers and making it a great place to work.
c) Understanding your departments’ key performance indicators and developing action plans to improve these.
d) Making sure the department has enough cover for the trading week.
e) Ensuring that your department is to have the highest quality through cleanliness, safety and stock availability.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
a) Previous management / supervisor experience working within a retail environment.
b) Proven experience of full accountability for sales and costs gained within a highly dynamic, hands-on environment.
c) Well motivated and the ability to motivate others.
d) Excellent organisation and communication skills are a must.
e) Happy to work Night shifts.
DESIRABLE SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
a) Previous store / department management experience gained with in a FMCG / Supermarket environment.
You may have experience in the following roles: Department Manager, Store Manager, Night Manager, Retail Manager, Fresh Food Controller, Food Retail Supervisor, Produce Department Manger. Produce Department Supervisor, Food Services Manager, Catering Manager, Chilled Food Department Manager, Food and Beverage Manager, Supermarket Night Manager, Deputy Store Manager etc
