This international leader in the Nuclear Power industry is seeking a Non Radiological Waste Specialist .
Job Purpose:
·Provide underpinning detailed technical information on non radiological waste arisings and support documentation in support of Operational Environmental Permit applications, for new nuclear build.
·Support the processes for obtaining environmental permits from a range of bodies/authorities before operation of new nuclear power stations, including liaison with experts in the Group.
·Support the Environmental Permitting Manager in coordinating a range of processes and delivering core permitting activities to a high standard of quality and timeliness.
Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications & Experience:
·Recent experience working in an environment support role in the UK and with experience of the UK environmental permitting process preferably for large scale or nuclear facilities.
·Experience of working within a cross-functional team
Technical and Commercial Knowledge and Skills:
·Knowledge of relevant environmental legislation, regulations and trends
·Knowledge and skills in a wide range of non radiological environmental issues – ideally with exposure to the Environment Agency, and supply chain companies.
