Nuclear Safety Case Authors required by defence company based in the Midlands and North. As a result of ever increasing workload, my client are looking to expand their safety case teams for work within the nuclear submarine programme.
They are seeking engineers at all levels to join their growing Defence teams in Derby and Helensburgh. These roles will require specialist safety and reliability, technical, mechanical engineering skills to support their ongoing commitment to the UK MoD Submarine Programme.
Engineers will be required to have a background in safety engineering, preferably with an employment history in defence as an understanding of procedures will be beneficial although other comparable technical backgrounds will be considered.
Essential Skills
A degree, HND or equivalent in an engineering or scientific discipline is preferred with appropriate professional experience in safety environments relevant to the defence sector.
Desirable
Hazard identification and assessment techniques e.g. Hazop, FMEA, FMECA, FTA/ETA.
Modern standards safety case process including production and presentation of deterministic and probabilistic safety arguments.Independent Peer Review ARM/ILS.Reliability Centred Maintenance. Familiar with UK regulatory standards e.g. NII SAPs .
Familiar with the Nuclear industry and/ or Submarine Nuclear Steam Raising Plant.
Salary £33K-£48K depending on level of experience.
