We are looking for an OTC Derivatives Valuation Manager to join the OTC Derivatives team in our London office. The successful candidate will manage client facing valuation analysts who are responsible for producing daily and month-end independent valuations of OTC derivatives across all asset classes.
Responsibilities:
- Day to day management of personnel and processes to ensure functions are performed accurately and within service level agreements
- Day to day interaction with other departments and companies to prevent/resolve issues related to the department.
- Review monthly OTC valuation reconciliations to determine fair value of OTC portfolio for inclusion in published NAV
- Supervise and monitor the Valuations teams in UK and Mumbai
- Assist with client visits when demonstrating GlobeOp Valuation capabilities. This will cover both existing and prospective clients
- Participate in tactical planning for the business unit, department structure and allocation of resources.
- Establish and drive strong relationships with clients
- Provide full support to the Head of the Valuation Control Group
- Coach and develop talent within the team
- To help collate and produce Management Information Statistics
Skills & Knowledge:
- Significant experience of Middle Office / Operations functions
- Previous management experience advantageous
- Masters in Quantitative Finance equivalent professional qualification would be beneficial
- Ability to perform investigation of Quantitative models and Pricing Discrepancies
- Working knowledge of Bloomberg, Reuters and Kondor
- Excellent understanding of derivatives products including trade lifecycle and valuation
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a strong control environment
- Ability to establish credibility and build strong relationships with clients
- Ability to work under pressure and manage tight client deadlines
- Provide ongoing commitment to develop and grow the business
- Previous OTC experience within the financial services industry preferred
