Offshore Structural Engineering - Substructure and Topside Integrity
Salaries: Engineers £25k to £40k, Senior Engineers £40k to £60k

Their main areas of practice include structural engineering, structural mechanics, earthquake engineering, offshore engineering, fluid dynamics and major hazards engineering.

The Opportunity
Our client has a number of positions, at different levels of responsibility, to support this core area of our practice. The positions are ideal for individuals with a desire to gain new skills, or those who are experienced in all aspects of substructure and topsides structural integrity management.
The successful applicant will become involved in the structural integrity management of jacket and topside structures under in-place and extreme loads. This work will involve model building and maintenance, analysis and code-compliance checking, pushover analysis for ship impact and extreme environment, support to design modifications, development of inspection plans, implementation of on-line monitoring systems, and the overall structural integrity management.
Knowledge of Fire and Explosion assessment of topsides structures would also be attractive.
Less experienced applicants would augment our existing activities, whilst the opportunity exists for an experienced person to take on overall management responsibilities and grow this business area.
Background/Experience
Successful candidates will have a good degree in an engineering or science discipline, and may be qualified to a higher level. Their staff is drawn from a variety of backgrounds, including academia, research, vendors, design, consulting, regulatory, and operations.
The successful applicant should have a background in offshore structures, with analysis experience or inspection management experience being of particular interest.
We are interested in all levels of technical and management experience, candidates must have at least three years prior work experience.
