Job Title: Ofsted Quality Officer
Key Purpose of Job Role:
• To work with Operational Management Team ensuring our Training focuses on raising quality standards across all provision.
• To achieve and maintain Grade 2 as a minimum at OFSTED inspection.
• To manage and develop the quality monitoring and review process in line with our Training’s Quality Standards.
• To lead on quality improvement within the business.
• To establish and develop effective reporting tools
Key Responsibilities:
The post holder will:-
• Co-ordinate the production of annual self assessment reports and Quality Improvement Plans across all provisions in consultation with the Operational Management Team.
• Produce Training’s annual Self Assessment Report (SAR) and Quality Improvement Plan (QIP) in-line with contractual requirements.
• Maintain and develop quality standards for our Training e.g., Matrix, ISO9001
• Develop and implement an effective quality feedback & complaints process.
• Develop and implement effective Tutor/Trainer observations and evaluation process.
• Develop and implement a quality monitoring programme including sub-contractors
• To support Lead nominee in the preparation and co-ordination of OFSTED inspections and monitoring visits.
• Co-ordinate and facilitate external quality monitoring visits.
• Provide advice, guidance, support and training to and sub-contractor staff on quality related matters and in raising standards.
• Maintain and improve existing Quality Management Information Systems to support Training’s quality requirements.
• Develop, implement and maintain effective robust quality procedures and documentation.
• Maintain and develop an effective central training resource library.
Experience Required
The post holder will have:-
• experience of working in a quality assurance department of a Training Company or FE/Further Education college
• experience of writing Self Assessment Reports and Quality Improvement Plans
• experience of developing and implementing quality processes and procedures
• experience of implementing an effective quality monitoring programme.
• experience of co-ordinating/facilitating external monitoring/inspection visits e.g., Ofsted, Matrix, ISO9001,customers
• lead nominee experience (desirable)
• experience of developing training material and delivering training
Knowledge Required
• The Common Inspection Framework
• Quality Marks i.e.Matrix
• Quality Standards (ISO 9001)
• Code of Practice and Awarding Body Requirements

• Organisational skills – ability to prioritise those issues central to role and to meet agreed deadlines

Qualifications
• NVQ L4 in Management, equivalent or 3 years demonstrable/proven experience
• Lead Auditor’s qualification
• Salary 23,000 to 25,000
