An exciting opportunity for an experienced Operations Manager with a supply chain background to work as part of a management team providing a shared service (Trading Partner Operations) to manufacturing sites and in country operating companies. The individual will have a proven ability to lead people in providing high customer service in a dynamic environment.
Job Purpose and Key Responsibilities:
Trading Partner Operations (TPO) consists of two trading partners: GSK Export and GSK Trading Services. All trade route data activities supporting these two are managed in a combined team lead by the Operations Manager. The team manages the extraction, transforming and collation of data for all trade routes operating through electronic invoicing and manual processing for GSKE and GSK TS.
The role reports to the Director, Business Partner & Network Change. A challenging role responsible for the end to end data set up and interface processes and their optimization on behalf of Trading Partner Operations. There is a key focus on improving the end to end business process including consolidating of activities, re-engineering of roles and related processes. Due to the dynamic network change environment the role will interact with Supply Sites, Third Party Contract Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Finance business management teams across GSK to ensure standardized and best practice solutions are achieved.
This role involves management and implementation of new initiatives plus the management of the teams through high level of change driven both internally and externally to the TPO. The team consists of 4 different groups with up to + 20 staff, the candidate will need to have:
* Proven leadership skills in a large multi national company.
* Strong communication and influencing skills.
* Ability to deliver demanding change management programs whilst keeping to deadlines.
* Knowledge of supply chain processes and business models.
* Experience in customer service provision to internal customers
Key Responsibilities:
* To lead improvement of business processes using robust change management and planning.
* Strategic planning to ensure the development of structures, people and processes in support the Trading Partner Operations business.
* To provide direction and leadership to the operational trade route and electronic invoice teams.
* To review the teams structure to respond to new business developments and needs.
* To provide continuous improvement through business analysts in support of Sales order processing strategy.
* To develop and maintain processes to ensure effective controls are in place to maintain financial integrity across JDE platforms.
Basic qualifications required:
* Bachelors’ degree in related discipline, or equivalent experience.
* Demonstrated track record in successful project & business change management, including leadership of projects or project streams.
* Ability to synthesize information and identify impacts to business.
* Ability to convert a business objective into a robust project plan containing activities, timelines, resources and budgets.
* Good verbal and written communication skills across all levels and cultures
Preferred qualifications:
* Experience in working across organisational boundaries.
* Experience of JDE.
* Appropriate project management training.
* Skill in conceptualising creative solutions, documenting them, and presenting/selling them to senior management.
* Able to effectively contribute to strategic planning process and prioritisation of business resources and activities to meet future business needs
