OPERATIONS MANAGER - (CIVIL ENGINEERING) - UTILITIES
Location: East Midlands
Salary: £60-£70k + 20% Bonus + Car + Pension
THE COMPANY
* With group turnover reaching over £500m this construction business is a renowned multi disciplinary main contractor, operating term and project based contracts for the UK's major utility providers.
* A large number of tenders are in the pipeline with the business feeling quietly confident of a large expansion of working being awarded, with this in mind the wheels of motion have been put in place for the potential requirement of an experienced Operations Manager to oversee a number of individual power and distribution framework operations in a cost effective manner in the Midlands region.
THE ROLE
* Within this Operations Manager vacancy you will have the responsibility for full project management, working on between 1 and 4 power and distribution projects at a time valuing circa 250k-3Million each which will incorporate the following:
" Budgetary & Cost control
" Business development
" Economical and feasibility studies
" Customer liaison within the new connections business
" Coordination of engineers for Power System studies on behalf of the power distribution network operator (DNO)
THE PERSON
Along with knowledge and experience of the above the successful candidate will also have:
" a Degree in Electrical/ Power System engineering
" Worked within the T&D, Utilities, Power System or Transmission planning industry.
" Extensive HV 132kv - 400kv experience will be ideal.
