Eurosearch & Selection have been retained by our global client and their parent company to source an Operations Manager for their operation in Scotland.
This exciting role will see you joining one of the premier maritime companies with an unrivalled reputation in the global shipping and oil & gas market.
This role will suit candidates whom are either a Master Mariner or Chief Engineer. You should be experienced in ISO and ISM Auditing with Oil Major Vetting Inspections being desirable, not essential. A working knowledge of statutory requirements, regulations and marine codes is required.
The position duties are varied, generally you will be responsible for the performance of the operational safety department as driven by the companies requirements.
The key tasks include:
* The formulation and successful implementation of company policy relating to the provision of Safety Inspections, Audit, Training and Ship’s Security Services.
* Directing strategy towards the profitable growth and operation of the services provided, and developing strategic business plans that reflect the long term objectives and priorities.
* Putting in place adequate operational planning and financial control systems and closely monitoring the operational and financial results against budget.
* Meeting with Clients periodically and maintaining an open working relationship
* Maintaining or improving the operational performance of the company against agreed KPI’s
* Assume full responsibility and accountability for all company operations relating to the provision of Safety Inspections, Audit, Training and Ship’s Security Services.
