KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:-
*To lead, motivate & encourage your team, ensuring job rotation & satisfaction, leading to maximum throughput.
*Organise & document all workplace training for all team members to ensure employee development & increase flexibility of the team.
*Carry out workplace assessments to identify potential hazards, corrective actions, & measures to reduce the risk of injury in order to ensure the health, safety, & welfare of your team.
*To liaise with other team leaders to maximise the effectiveness of all the teams ensuring production efficiencies & targets are met with no detriment to product safety or quality.
*To undertake a variety of project / improvement activities as requested by the Shift Manager to provide new ideas or solutions to any problems that may arise so that production output is maximized without sacrifice to quality.
*To carry out disciplinary investigations & hearings as required in conjunction with HR to ensure company policies & procedures are followed.
*Ensure good housekeeping practices are adhered to within the work environment to promote a safe working regime that complies with legislation & the requirements of the company & its customers.
*To organise the daily activities of the team to ensure the smooth operation of the work area including holiday & absence planning.
*To provide appropriate cover for the Shift Manager during his/her absence to ensure the smooth operation of the Production Department.
*To maintain & improve productivity, efficiencies, & quality in order to reduce the overall conversion cost.
*Encourage production teams to promote Quality at all times and create a quality culture both downwards and upwards.
IDEALLY YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING:
- Food manufacturing experience
- Supervisory experience within a food manufacturing environment
- Experience of supervising teams working various shift patterns
- HACCP
ROLE INFORMATION:
-To lead, manage and motivate the Production teams to achieve improving Shift targets to the correct standard and quality for our customer. Ensuring at all times targets are met in a safe and efficient manner, implementing best practice industry standards.
