PRODUCTION SHIFT MANAGER / PRODUCTION SHIFT TEAM LEADER
LOCATION:WAKEFIELD / LEEDS
SALARY AND BENEFITS:£25,000.00 + BENEFITS

- Customers include most supermarkets and some high street stores
- Fresh Produce food stuffs processed
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES / COMPETENCES:-
*Organise labour to meet standard production cost targets.
*Train staff to ensure appropriate skills are available when needed.
*Report production performance and account for achievement s v targets.
*Ensure good manufacturing practices and procedures are followed, regarding start up checks, hygiene and housekeeping standards, use of PPE, recipe controls, product
*Quality compliance and timely completion of orders.
*Throughout the whole production process minimise waste of raw materials,
*Finished product and labour cost.
*Maintain appropriate standards of behaviour in the work environment and support
*The upkeep of equipment and buildings.
*Ability to organise and mobilise employees across production
*Areas, controlling a variety of different priorities at the same time.
*Ambitious, driven and passionate about making improvements which lead to visible financial results and increase factory control and ownership.
*Assess situations quickly and take prompt action to deal with fresh challenges as they arise.
*Numerate - good at mental maths, so (i) resources can be juggled to achieve the plan and (ii) so performance efficiencies can be worked out, assessed and reported.
*Communication - strong personality who commands presence, and at ease communicating verbally or in writing.
*PC skills - familiar with using spreadsheets.
IDEALLY YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING:
*Worked in short shelf life chilled food manufacturing for min. 3-5 years.
*Previous managerial / supervisory experience essential looking after several production lines.
*Experience of working long hours during peak demand periods of year.

- To lead, manage and motivate the Production teams to achieve improving Shift targets to the correct standard and quality for our customer. Ensuring at all times targets are met in a safe and efficient manner, implementing best practice industry standards.
