Hours: Continental Shifts (Incorporating days & nights)

Job Role
1.Organise resources in the most effective and efficient way (staff, materials, equipment) to start up, changeover and run the line / area to deliver the plan and achieve targets.
2.Monitor line performance against the plan, communicate progress regularly both with the team and with other managers, taking corrective actions (including in the event of unplanned downtime) and escalating issues as appropriate, promptly in order to deliver the plan and achieve targets.
3.Manage and motivate the team by giving individual feedback (positive and constructive), coaching and encouraging people to achieve results that meet targets and objectives and support ‘right first time’.
4.Apply and consistently carry out the site HR and Health & Safety policies and procedures (including start up checks, absence and disciplinary) in order to develop and maintain a safe and well-managed team.
5.Monitor and enforce 100% compliance with all site Technical policies and procedures to ensure products, people and processes are safe and meet stated customer and company requirements, investigating and reporting on any non compliance.
6.Identify training needs, organise and follow up on appropriate training and development in order to develop and maintain the appropriate skills within the team.
7.Analyse, investigate and implement appropriate corrective actions to address KPI variances to meet and continuously improve performance targets, making recommendations for improvement /different ways of doing things.
Develop and maintain effective working relationships with other functions and departments to enable the smooth and efficient running of the department
