PROJECT LEAD
We are based in city centre Manchester, the Blemain Group is a leading specialist in providing financial services. We are looking for a Project Lead to join our IT Team. This is an outstanding opportunity to join a forward thinking financial services company.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced Project Lead/ Senior Business Analyst to join a highly successful business working on cutting edge projects.
THE ROLE
The successful candidate will ensure that all projects are of the highest quality and are consistent with the Group standards and those that are demanded of a reputable finance institution. This includes ensuring the candidate plans and manages the Project from outset to closure, including co-ordinating and justifying Business Case development to stakeholders.
In addition to the Project Control and Analysis Team, you will be working closely with all other members of the IT Team, as well as many other departments within the business where you will gain valuable insight into the requirements of our key stakeholders. The position will include the following duties:
KEY TASKS
- Identify and obtain any support and advice required for the management, planning and control of the Project.
- Manage Project administration.
- Conduct end Project evaluation to assess how well the Project was managed and prepare an end-Project report (including lessons learned report/ preparation of any follow-on action recommendations as required).
- All other duties which may be required from time to time
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
Essential Requirements:
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a background of working in a Project Lead or similar role, and be able to display this knowledge with practical examples at both the application and interview stages.
The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, ambitious and able to show examples of continuous development in addition to displaying their delivery focused approached towards completing both personal tasks and project work.
The successful candidate will also display their ability to communicate at the relevant technical level both within the IT department and across the business. You will also display strong skills in:
- Experience of managing multiple projects
- Experience of matrix management within an IT department
- Microsoft Visio.
- Communication skills – the candidate must be able to communicate at all levels, both internally and externally.
- Organisational skills – must be able to organise their own workload and manage the internal activity
Desirable skills/ qualities:
- Microsoft Team Foundation Server experience
- Microsoft Team Foundation Server – MSF Agile
- Previous leadership experience
