POSITION : PROJECT MANAGER
THE COMPANY:The company is a medium sized fit-out company, which specialises in partitions, ceilings, drylining and fire protection.
The company is based in North East London. Its projects are predominately in Central London and the Home Counties.
The Company prides itself as being dynamic and successful, whilst keeping wellbeing and friendships as high priorities.
THE POST:We are looking for a motivated individual who can deliver a project on time and budget.You will be able to navigate your team, with confidence through the complex issues arising from the client, trade contractors or programme constraints.
You will have proven building /construction experience and qualifications appropriate to your age.
RELEVANT EXPERIENCE: The candidate should have knowledge and experience in all of the following:
- In depth knowledge of construction, design & dimensional coordination
- Managing the successful delivery of all projects within agreed scope
- Meeting or improving on time scales
- Consistently focused on defining, understanding & agreeing customer needs and delivering satisfaction
- Communicating well at all levels
- Managing of subcontractors
- Complying with all statutory, client / health, safety and environmental requirements, policies and procedures
- Developing staff within the life cycle of the project
- Ensuring overall profitability of each project
- Ensuring all relative documentation is in place on completion & handover of each project
- Maintaining clear and precise documentation in line with company procedures
- Trade apprenticeship served would be very advantageous
- Microsoft Project/Asta skills essential
The candidate may also be proficient with:
- Various forms of contract; operation of key clauses.
- Subcontracts: procurement and management of subcontractor accounts.
- Materials buying.
- Recovery of additional costs (loss & expense).
- Avoidance/resolution of disputes.
