PT Estate Manager 20 hrs (Retirement Living)
Lowestoft, Suffolk
GBP 11 pr hour
PART TIME ROLE. 5 Days a week, 20 Hours per week
In this role you will manage a designated housing scheme (or schemes) and its resources effectively and to meet the support needs of the tenants, while enabling them to live independent lives.
Key Responsibilities:
- To provide a supportive, efficient and responsive service to tenants and other local users of the scheme and its facilities and be committed to customer care.
- To respond to emergency calls, alerting the appropriate health, statutory and voluntary agencies.
- To maintain up to date tenant records and administration of paperwork for the scheme.
- To monitor tenants well being and ensure needs are continually assessed.
- To support tenants to run and organise communal activities (social, leisure, recreational, therapeutic and educational) for the involvement of the scheme residents and local community of older people.
- To report and monitor repairs and maintenance to communal parts of the scheme.
Experience
You will need to be sensitive to the needs of older people and to ensure tenants and applicants are treated with the respect. You will have a good knowledge of housing for older people and experience in assessing needs for housing, care and support.
You will have strong working knowledge of services and welfare benefits available to older people and have experience of visiting people in their own homes. Previous experience from a local authority background is essential.
