P/T Male Club Attendant (12 hrs)
Shift pattern as follows:
Sat: 8am - 4pm
Sun: 8am - 12pm
Job Purpose
- To ensure the changing areas, gym floor, pool area, studios and all equipment in the Club are cleaned to a high standard ensuring that cleaning is to a standard Total Fitness requires to meet member’s expectations. Also to ensure that the club passes the operational audit.
- To carry out cleaning responsibilities as directed on the gym floor, locker rooms, studios, pool area including sauna’s/steam room and as necessary throughout the building.
- To help maintain all fitness equipment and the cleaning of all equipment as necessary.
- To complete the company maintenance checks throughout the club.
- To provide cover on poolside in the absence of Lifeguards (once you are pool side trained).
- To support all other departments in providing cover for staff shortages due to sickness and holidays.
Duties and Responsibilities
- To ensure all areas of the club are maintained to a high standard at all times, using the machines and equipment provided as per the Club cleaning schedule / procedures.
- To undertake any other cleaning tasks as required by the Club cleaning schedule or as reasonably requested by the management team.
- To use the chemicals provided in line with the manufacturers guidelines and according to the COSHH regulations.
- To regularly check all cleaning materials and chemicals to ensure they are stored tidily and in accordance with COSHH regulations.
- To report defects and low levels of stock to the management as soon as possible.
- To report any accidents or dangerous occurrences as soon as possible to the Club Manager / Duty Manager. Any threats to the health and safety of other staff and members should be reported immediately.
- To check for defects to equipment, showers, toilets and other facilities within the changing rooms, gym area and surrounding areas and report any faults to the Club Manager or Duty Manager.
- To communicate effectively with members to maintain a high standard of customer care and service quality.
- To oversee general safety and monitor behaviour of members within the club to prevent injury, misuse and damage of facilities or unsocial conduct.
- To carry out maintenance and health and safety checks as directed by the management team.
- To provide cover on poolside when required.
- To support the other departments in providing cover for sickness and holiday.
- To use all machines, equipment and chemicals in the correct manner, reporting any problems or faults.
- To arrive for work in good time wearing the uniform that has been provided in a clean and tidy manner.
- To attend the daily dash.
- To be trained in first aid and de-fib.
- To undertake any reasonable request as directed by the Club Management.
