The successful planning engineer will operate from their site-based offices in Berkshire and join an already existing project team that are involved on a multi million pound framework which, runs to 2013. Initially you will work on a £30m construction project and you will act as the main driving force behind the direction to which the project moves and reminding other team members of critical activities that need to be achieved. Within the 5 year framework there is plenty of work in the pipeline that will offer stability for the successful candidate.
To be considered for this vacancy, candidates will need to demonstrate a solid understanding and experience of construction techniques and a strong track record of working on heavy civils projects with preference given to those with reinforced concrete experience. As you will be involved in the design process you will also be required to have previous design experience and in addition candidates will need strong communication skills and be proficient users of planning software packages, preferably Primavera.
Due to the nature of this project candidates will have to undergo security clearance. Please only apply if you already hold security clearance or if you are legible to qualify.
