Job DescriptionWe operate at the forefront of the transport, property and industry sectors and are one of the world's leading project and cost management consultants. Using a flexible and multi-disciplinary approach, we provide an independent service in three key areas: consulting, project management and commercial services. We are currently looking for experienced Planning Managers for our Saudi Arabia office to assist in implementing a best practice management system within the clients organization, to control the construction schedules and associated management for all levels of the project and to train clients staff in the management of the organization in accordance with the new best practice management system.


RequirementsTechnical Competencies/Qualifications/ExperienceEssential Engineering degree Minimum 15 years experience Middle East experience Knowledge of project feasibility studies and strategic planning Knowledge of the full project lifecycle, including design and procurement Planning Software (P6, Microsoft Project, etc.) Experience of attending and contributing to team briefings/meetings Understanding relevant Technical Documents/Specifications Computer literate Leadership Desirable Knowledge of commercial and retail construction Behavioural CompetenciesEssential Planning & time management skills, influencing skills, customer focussed having good presentation skills A Self starter Punctual Confident Loyal Ability to liaise with clients/contractors/consultants Able to act on own initiative and proactive way Good communication skills


Responsibilities Implement ‘Project Execution Plan' Preparation and management of overview and strategic programmes, including design, procurement and construction schedules together with supporting information required schedules Coordinate and manage the preparation and development of target construction and procurement schedules together with associated information required schedules Establish and agree project reporting procedures, prepare and present monthly project progress to client Review schedule trends to identify problem areas and recommend corrective action to management. Monitor actual progress against planned progress Monitor engineering design progress, material and equipment procurement and construction and commissioning status Prepare progress monitoring tools for the management and monitoring of the above mentioned schedules. Monitor progress both on and off site. Identify deviations (progress trends) in both construction and procurement progress and suggest possible courses of corrective action Working closely with the ‘Project team' to ensure that the main contractor's contract programme is feasible, complies with the Project Master Plan and contractual requirements Assist in the career development and training of junior planning team members
