Our client based in Birmingham City Centre is looking for a permanent Policy Development Officer to really hit the ground running and be an immediate success. The job holder will be line managed within one of the policy teams in the Strategy, Research and Analysis Directorate and will principally work with the policy managers in this team. However the organisation has a unique matrix approach to the business plan which means that tasks may be delegated by other policy managers.
Duties and functions include:
* To develop Commission policies that support effective regulation of the industry.
* To draft comprehensive guidance documents explaining the Commission's policies.
* To ensure effective and sustainable stakeholder involvement in policy development.
* To support Policy Managers, colleagues throughout the Strategy, Research and
Analysis Directorate, and the wider Commission to ensure that business plan
commitments are met.
