This is a truly unique opportunity to fulfil a key role within an early stage Cambridge based start-up developing innovative IC based products for the renewable energy space. Reporting in direct to VP level the applicant will have full responsibility to technically architect all power IC designs. As part of a senior technical management team tasked with developing a robust product that meets both quality, cost and market entry targets.
Applicants must demonstrate experience in leading ASIC architecture development for highly integrated power conditioning ICs including control and sensing, for high volume production essential. This includes transistor level IC design and IP block integration. Ideally the candidate will be internationally recognised as an expert in the field of power IC design. A combination of the following is required:
* Extensive experience in architectural and device modelling of architecture using industry standard tools e.g Matlab, Spice, EESOF.
* Detailed understanding of technology process requirements is essential.
* Knowledge of SoI, SiC and GaN highly desirable.
* Experience of devices for utility grid connect applications highly desirable
* Detailed knowledge of Analogue ASIC design and verification flow.
