The position is a permanent opportunity. The salary is approximately £21K, and is hourly paid. The hourly rate is £9.85 / hour, and £10.87 / hour for premium 1 overtime. The hours are Monday – Friday, 09:00 – 17:30.
The role is to manage the Pre-Install Department, ensuring that client volume requirements are met and contractual KPI’s are met and exceeded. The ideal candidate will have experience of people management, in terms of performance management, appraisals, absenteeism management, etc and also experience of managing resource in an environment with fluctuating volumes.
Preferably you will also have knowledge of LEAN principles and ISO9001. Our client is keen that you will have an appreciation of technical work in order that you can understand the flows of the department, but you would not be required to complete any technical work themselves. Therefore someone who has experience of managing a team in a service / production environment would be ideal.
If you have been a manager within Xerox or another photocopying company that may be suitable?
The activity in the department is to clean, test and repair customer's products from the field, in line with customer requirements. There is also a machine pre-build activity and various ad-hoc tasks such as machine upgrading, technical assistance for the delivery crews, etc.
