Well known fashion brand with stores nationwide, seeks an established Press Officer, PR Co-ordinator or agency Senior Account Executive/Account Manager ready for the next step up. With a strong fashion PR background, your responsibilities will include:
RESPONSIBILITIES- Day-to-day contact with all press.
- Develop and implement PR strategy and calendar under direction of PR Manager and with the rest of the PR team.
- Proactive contact of target media to maximise coverage and sell in news stories and features.
- Develop close relationships with all relevant media – consumer, national, weekly, regional and TV – through 121 Showroom appointments, press events, desk visits, product road shows and regular communication.
- Press release and report writing.
- Manage own projects as set by Senior PR Manager
- Co-ordinate small photo shoots with Creative team.
- Assist with large press events and previews.
- Manage smaller Showroom press events, in conjunction with Events team.
- Drive regional PR and support local stores with regional coverage.
- Work with Online Officer on raising awareness of brand websites.
- Oversee the PR Co-ordinator, the Press Showroom, sample flow and send outs. Assist with sample send-outs when necessary.
- Oversee editorial report production and emails to brands and Customer Services.
- Compile weekly VIP card report.
- Liaise with press cuttings agency on monthly editorial evaluations and check all coverage is included.
- Organise and schedule in press pack and invite mail-outs to press.
- Manage relationships with the design and buying teams and regularly update PR Manager on sample situation.
- Manage Budgets and raise invoices
- Day to day contact with Buying, E-commerce, Marketing and Design Teams
- Liaise and implement strategy with external PR Agency for Jewellery
EXPERIENCE/SKILLS- Must have solid experience in PR fashion/retailing
- Proven press contacts across all media areas with especially good contacts within the womenswear press
- Strong written and communication skills
- Self-motivated and able to pro-actively seek PR opportunities.
- Good time management
- Understanding of budget management
- Experience in communicating with senior management
- Experience at selling in stories to relevant titles and dealing with senior editors
