Principal Engineer (Mechanical Static Equipment) - Sharjah, UAE
Negotiable (dependent on experience circa £45-60k)
My client is an international facilitator of solutions to the Oil and Gas industries. Having secured a number of new contracts are currently looking to employ a Principal Engineer (Mechanical Static Equipment) to supervise and lead a team of engineers and designers (2 to 4 Engineers and designers, 10% of time is spent on Training incumbents) in carrying out detailed engineering work for large sized projects assuming entire responsibility for conceptual and detailed design.
Embedded in Engineering Mechanical - Department, this specialist will be contracted to provide necessary technical information for procurement in compliance with tender specifications/data sheets and within budgeted man-hour and project schedules. Leading the activities in converting the project from concept to detailed engineering. Working within Project Budget requirements. Servicing as the tie-in in the department team for inter-discipline engineering concerned with the project.
An ideal candidate would have:
*Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering
*Minimum 20 years of related petrochemical experience
*Preferable from a background in working for consultancy organisations in the EPC of the Oil and Gas Industry.
*Exposure to EPC environments.
*Knowledge in the use of PV ELITE, B JAC, COMPRESS, & CODECALC software.
*In depth knowledge with standard international specifications and codes i.e. British Standard codes, ASMI code and TEMA
*Standard Knowledge in detailed Engineering projects.
*Good knowledge of international equipment costs
*Knowledge of Safety and Quality Procedures.
