We are a specialist recruitment company and we are currently looking for a number of social work professionals across the Midlands area. This particular role is for an experienced Social Worker who is GSCC registered
Must have access to a car at all times MUST have referral/duty experience as a manager in a child care setting. Must be familiar with ICS. Must be able to start immediately.
Overall purpose of the post
1. Assisting the Team Manager to ensure that the unit maintains a professionally excellent preventative childcare service.
2. Assisting the Team Manager to ensure that the team implements service policies.
3. To supervise the day to day practice/operation of the team under the direction of the Team Manager.
To take responsibility for the day to day management of the Duty System and the supervision of the social workers involved in duty process.

Education and Qualifications
This post requires satisfactory clearance of a criminal records bureau disclosure.
Professional Qualification in Social Work
Registration with GSCC Degree level of education
Post Qualifying Award
Experience and Knowledge
Experience of working with children in a Social Work setting - either statutory
Good working knowledge of the Children Act.
Understanding of Child Protection Issues.
Knowledge and understanding of issues related to vulnerable children and the concept of risk.
Knowledge of the Framework for Assessment.
Experience of working in a multi disciplinary setting
