Principle Engineer (Suspension Systems) Salary: £40,000 - £43,000 + excellent benefits package The Role: Principle Engineer (Suspension Systems)
• Design & improvement of new and existing suspension product including air and mechanical based systems
• Leading a multi-national team of engineers
• Working with Customers, suppliers, engineering bodies and internal functions such as sales, marketing, purchasing, aftermarket, production, manufacturing and QA to bring product to market
• Engineering lead with customers, suppliers & project based engineering activities
The Candidate: Principle Engineer (Suspension Systems)
• The principal engineer will be skilled & knowledgeable in vehicle suspension.
• Detailed knowledge of drawing packages including modeling combined with experience of setting the kinematics & packaging of suspensions
• The engineer will have a general understanding of vehicle dynamics including a working understanding of suspension stability, ride & handling.
• Working knowledge of structures, including stressing and probably FEA packages
• Working knowledge of materials including metals, elastomers and composites.
• Familiarity with APQP based systems is advantageous
• Leadership skills and experience working in multi-functional teams
• Experience working with laboratory and vehicle test teams
