Process Engineer / Production Engineer Salary: £22,000 - £25,000 Depending on experience The Role: Process Engineer / Production Engineer Providing a process improvement service to our production facility, identifying short to medium term actions which will improve and sustain overall performance across the key areas of efficiency, quality and profitability
Design of jigs / fixtures and production lines
Writing process specifications and ensuring recommendations regarding efficiency and ergonomic improvements
Writing specifications for manufacturing equipment and making recommendations for equipment procurement
Ensuring departmental support for all new programs and current product changes
Working with Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement Teams to implement Lean manufacturing principles
Monitoring tooling and assembly equipment through production start-up,
monitoring and auditing manufacturing best practices and standard in the Plant The Candidate: Process Engineer / Production Engineer
Candidates should ideally be qualified to HNC level or above in Mechanical Engineering
Extensive knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques is essential
