Our client is a fast growing player within the FMCG sector having grown rapidly over the last 8 years they are now in an ambitious growth period looking to achieve their goals over the next 2 years.
As such they are looking for a dynamic, forward thinking highly motivated self leading Process Engineer to join the team and lead their shop floor in this exciting phase for the company.
Working with the Production Manager you will be jointly responsible for 2 other engineers and the efficient running of a number of packaging and converting lines within their business.
They will be looking for the successful candidate to:
Work with the Production manager to ensure smooth running of the facility to hit and over achieve on targets
Trouble shoot engineering issues - from a hands on point of view also so a good multi skilled engineering background would be a very big advantage - someone who can work on machines as required.
Making sure the small team of engineers making sure production runs and machinery are set up and run smoothly
Implementing planned and preventative maintenance schedules as well as looking after the company workshop and spares stores to ensure as little downtime as possible
Look at the process improvement aspect of the role and work with the Production Manager on continuous improvement and lean programs to further take the business to the next stage.
The successful candidate will have to be able to demonstrate enthusiasm, hunger, desire, drive and dynamisism in this role - and need to be someone who gets the job done without supervision to a high level that once done the project can be put to bed and move on to the next task. To be able to work independently and make decisions in a fast paced environment is essential.
Experience in a packaging environment would be a distinct advantage. Experience of designing and implementing Continuous Improvement and Process changes within a fast paced environment is essential and experience of ISO9001 quality systems would also be an advantage.
