We are currently looking for a number of Process Technicians to join our new team in Stourton.
Key responsibilities include the daily operation of Pasturisers and other Process equipment to both legal and Company standards, operating in a cost effective manner
- The successful candidates will also carry out complete investigations when quality standards are not met, and report solutions in a timely fashion.
- You’ll provide continuous flow of product to achieve daily production requirements and when appropriate involve other departmental team members and the departmental team leader. Liaise with the Planning Team to ensure correct process profile is met.
- Carry out minor maintenance duties such as seal changes and changing of airlines as well as fostering a strong relationship with engineers who work within the Process team.
- Contribute fully and show will of ownership of the departments high involvement in reducing cost of waste of both raw material and utilities.
- Demonstrate continuous improvement measured through weekly performance indicators; these are cost of milk waste, effluent, detergents and maintenance.
To play an active role in a dynamic team, be flexible and cooperative, not only within the team, but also with the whole factory. Input of information onto Plant Master, carry out product testing and act upon results, support and develop into a stand in for Process Team Leader in their absence
You’ll need previous experience within a process environment with experience of Lean tools and techniques, along with an awareness of Quality Assurance and Health and Safety procedures. You’ll have a minimum of 2 years experience of working in an Food / FMCG environment. With Strong IT skills – you’ll have experience of working with Computer based maintenance systems PC operated fillers including SAP R3.
Additionally you’ll have
- process and product understanding, have an awareness of continuous improvement methods, planned preventative maintenance, statistical process control, changeover reduction, problem solving tools and waste management.
- Hygiene, Health & Safety knowledge – legal and regulatory requirements, Leadership/Coaching- general understanding of HACCP, COSHH, Quality, Hygiene and Health & Safety assurance/management procedures.
- good people management skills to lead innovation and problem solve to improve team performance.
You’ll possess effective communication skills across all levels with good numeracy and literacy skills for effective reporting; Organisational and time management skills, ability to prioritise and the ability to contribute effectively to team performance
12 hour shifts working on a 4 on 4 off basis, days, nights and weekends
