Newport, Gwent
Salary up to GBP25k per annum
JOB PURPOSE
To conduct detailed and structured technical projects and investigations as directed by the Technical Manager, in order to deliver sustained and continual improvements in Product Quality, Safety and Legality.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES and RESPONSIBILITIES
Technical Projects and Investigations will comprise e.g. :-
Pest Prevention Systems
Product Quality Controls and Standards
Foreign Body Prevention Systems
Complaint Trend Analysis and Corrective Action Challenging
Specific Materials Handling Controls
Barrier Integrity Analysis
Completing Factory Trials
Business Training Standards
Technical Team duties and Tasks e.g. :-
CCP Auditing
Internal Systems Auditing
Non conformance review
Incident investigation
Traceability audits
Product Quality Assessment
Calibration maintenance
Evaluation and maintenance of sampling and monitoring schedules e.g. water sampling.
Process failure investigations eg. Product micro reportable's etc.
KNOWLEDGE and SPECIFIC JOB SKILLS
Essential
Food industry experience in Technical role.
Implementing new standards, procedures or working practices.
HACCP principles trained
PC literate
Familiar with Quality Management Systems
Understands and can complete a HACCP risk assessment.
Structured approach to planning detailed work schedules.
Ability to Lead a Team Discussion
Ability to influence and drive change.
Good verbal and written communicator.
An astute Auditor.
Enthusiastic, Driven, Committed, and Focused.

Food Technical / Science Degree qualified
