The position is paying £50,000 - £65,000 plus benefits and is based on the Cambridgeshire / Essex border, near Saffron Walden.
This is an exciting opportunity with a forward thinking business who are thriving and looking to expand. It is paramount that for this role you have in-depth experience of designing Healthcare / medical products.
This is a senior role managing the companies Mechanical Engineering offering, where you will be responsible for man management and recruitment of further team members.
As well as the management of the Mechanical Engineering team you will act as Senior Engineering Consultant leading and working on a range of development projects in the Healthcare industry. The role will combine project management duties, entailing all responsibilities consistent with successfully delivering projects to meet client needs, with hands on technical work as a senior mechanical
engineer or technical lead, responsible for the delivery of innovative and robust designs of medical devices.
Essential Skills:
Honours degree in Mechanical Engineering / Production Engineering.
Significant experience in the field of Healthcare and medical products.
Proven track record of successfully delivering development projects in project management and
engineering technical lead roles, heading and as part of multidisciplinary teams.
Proven track record in the robust design and development of innovative products and devices.
Detailed design and engineering analysis of components, mechanisms and assemblies for high volume manufacture.
It would be desirable if you had some of the following:
3D and 2D CAD (Solidworks or Pro E)
CAE (FEA, CFD, dynamics/motion analysis)
Technical consultancy
Risk management
Medical device regulations
Business development
