This is a fantastic opportunity working for a large electronic manufacturer in Felixstowe, Suffolk. We are currently recruiting for Production Operatives to start ASAP, working Monday-Thursday with the occasional Friday according to manufacturing requirements. Working patterns available: Earlies 0600-1530 and Lates 1530-0100.
Successful applicants will be required to assemble and solder components to Printed Circuit Boards (PCB's) and inspect or conduct testing, by following Work Instructions to pre-defined quality standards.
The main functions of the job will include:
*PCB build and assembly (manual insertion)
*Meter build and meter test (final assembly)
*Handling materials and inspection of components
*Soldering to client's quality standards
*Working in a team production line
Successful applicants must have previous experience of working in a similar job, selecting and fitting of small components, previous experience of soldering would be preferred but is not essential as training will be provided. Previous assembly experience is essential, preferably PCB assembly. An understanding of basic manufacturing processes, eg manual insertion, final assembly and test would be an advantage. The successful applicant must be able to work efficiently and effectively within a team as well as on their own, you will be required to rotate around each production line to ensure all aspects of assembly are covered, therefore applicants will need to be adaptable and flexible with a good attitude towards teamwork.
