A leading Chilled Food manufacturer are currently seeking a Production Planner to provide Bakery management with the necessary information in order to organise manufacturing resources to meet the customers requirements in the most efficient manner
Key responsibilities include:
Produce daily production and packing plans so that each department knows what should be made and packed.
Monitor stocks and estimate orders using the computer system in order that an accurate plan can be compiled.
Plan capacities in advance using the sales forecasts, highlighting any shortfalls in hours or shift patterns to management so that action may be taken.
Regularly update the plan, taking into account any variances or problems in order that Managers have up to date information to assist them in making decisions.
Ensure regular communication with all the relevant departments in order that relevant information can be used to compile plans.
Continually develop the planning process, making any recommendations for change that will lead to continuous improvement on the facility.
You will ideally be in a similar role within a high speed Manufacturing environment. Knowledge of MRP / ERP will be deemed advantageous.
