Production Planning Manager / Production Planner - FMCG (Chilled Food)

As a leader in the growing chilled retail seafood sector, our client's innovative range of retail products continues to exceed their customers' expectations. Offering products from traditional cod and chips, through to premium fish in sauce dishes, they have an expanding client portfolio from the retail sector. An opportunity has now arisen for a Production Planning Manager / Production Planner to join their team.
For this key role our client is looking an experienced production planner with an FMCG background to provide an efficient and effective planning function to the factory.
Joining the senior management team, as the Production Planning Manager / Production Planner your duties will include:
- ensuring planned production achieves the most cost effective utilisation of line time, labour, materials and packaging
- ensuring the effective communication of promotions and product changes to the production team
- working with NPD to ensure new products are planned effectively to achieve launch volumes
- identifying savings opportunities
- providing direction and coaching for the planning team
To be considered for this position you must be an experienced Production Planner with a background in an FMCG production environment. You will also need to demonstrate strong management skills, a good level of computer literacy and the ability to prioritise your work.
As the Production Planning Manager / Production Planner you should also be a good communicator with a positive attitude, who's willing to go the extra mile for customers.
Experience in a food production environment would be a distinct advantage to your application.
