Synopsis: My Client is seeking an experienced project manager from a water treatment industry background to liaise with sales, management and suppliers and to control the purchasing and logistics functions. To £40K Negotiable Salary + Benefits. Midlands base with UK remit
Job Title: Project Engineer – Purchasing and Logistics
Package: To £40K Negotiable salary + Executive Benefits
Area / Location:Based within a 2 hour commute to Birmingham with the role having a UK remit
Brief job description: My Client is a leading international environmental engineering consultancy that has been delivering bespoke process solutions to create sustainable and profitable businesses for over 100 years. Working with global market leaders across industry they have developed a comprehensive range of strategy consultancy, process engineering consultancy and project management services and products.
Specific Role:Taking a process specification or trial specification from the sales team, the candidate will develop the project, liaising with the client and the network of approved equipment suppliers to meet the needs and deadlines of the project. They need to have the flexibility to adapt the process specification to improve the offering , as is the detailed management of multiple simultaneous projects throughout organizational time charts and ISO procedures. Responsibility for the management of both in-house and contract engineering staff throughout the delivery of the project / trial is also required.
Qualities:Extensive Project Management experience and track record
In depth knowledge of the ISO process and project delivery within ISO parameters
Keen problem solver who engages and co-opts team members to find navigate through challenges and identify and implement solutions
Process orientated
Strength and experience to say no - when required
Experience: Significant experience of Water Treatment Technologies and Processes.
The right individual will have worked on a whole cross section of potable water and industrial effluent processes and treatment.
Private sector background only
(Sewage treatment experience is not relevant for this position).
Education:To Degree level education in the Engineering Field
