Client:
My client is one of the leading construction groups in the gulf region. They work on a number of civil engineering and building work both locally and internationally with 50 years of experience behind them.
Duties & Responsibilities
1. Become completely familiar with all contract documents.
2. Develop the basic plan for executing and controlling the project.
3. Directs infrastructure projects acquired by the Company in terms of operation from date of signing contract with client till handover.
4. Direct the preparation of project procedures. Directs the preparation and monitoring of project schedule.
5. Direct the preparation of basic project design criteria and general specification on turnkey projects.
6. Coordinate with Equipment Manager for optimal equipment utilization.
7. Develop project manpower requirements. Continually reviews project organisation and recommend changes in structure and personnel, if necessary. Monitor project activities for compliance with corporate safety and quality assurance policies.
8. Interpret, communicate, and require compliance with the contract, the approved plans, project procedures and directives of the client.
9. Closely monitor project financial performance and develop trend reports.
10. Establish change notice procedures to evaluate and communicate scope changes.
The Candidate:
• Graduate with a degree in civil engineering.
• Minimum 15 – 20 years of experience working on multimillion dollar projects
• Minimum 5- 7 years of experience working as Project Manager on similar projects
• Experience of working on highways, roads, services and drainage systems.
Salary:
• £60k - £70k package which includes flights, medical, accommodation and car.
