Project Manager (Oil&Gas) Malaysian! - Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
Salary (depends on experience, circa $5k per month)
My client is a global expert in consulting and engineering with expert knowledge in oil and gas, etc. At present they are looking to take on a Project Manager with Water Conceptual Design for the Oil and Gas sector.
The Project Manager is responsible for the commercial success of specific projects and key client accounts. They ensure that project deliverables are met according to schedule, budget and technical competency expectations of the client. To implement company procedures and systems in project management, control and reporting. As an integral member of the leadership team, the Project Manager will communicate effectively with other engineers, project leads, client's management and client representatives to ensure the company's reputation for high quality products and services is maintained.
The key function of the role is to achieve success for the client in delivering client / project objectives and to ensure contract and commercial success for the client in providing the contract objective and deliverables.
Qualifications / Skills Required:
*Degree holder (Minimum BSc/MSc/BEng in appropriate engineering discipline) and professional membership of recognised international Institute
*10+y experience as project manager with Water Conceptual Design in the oil and gas sector
*Work experience in Oil & Gas facilities in Malaysia is essential
*Membership of internationally accepted applicable professional institute
*Understanding of the practices and operations of oil and gas industry clients, and in particular the processes engaged during the concept selection and FEED phases of project development
*Should have in depth knowledge of contract terms, conditions and negotiation skills
*Project engineering skills to ensure studies and projects are delivered within agreed budgets and schedules
*Experience across a range of asset types (onshore, offshore, water conceptual design)
*Excellent English
*Effective communication, delegation and motivation of a multi-discipline design team
Responsibilities:
*The delivery of water engineering design in accordance with the relevant industry codes and standards whilst meeting best engineering practice
*Ensuring all calculations and design work is prepared in accordance with the Client's Quality Management System
*Delivery of commercial proposals, turning prospects into projects within the operating guidelines of the company
*Proper execution and close-out of projects
*Management and development of client and strategic partner relationships
*Delivery of company project management, control and reporting systems
*Involvement in the ongoing professional development of other staff members, upholding a knowledge-sharing environment
*Quality systems and procedures governing the multi-discipline work area
