My client is a leading provider of engineering services to the utility industry, in particular the electricity sector, both to the distribution network market and the private sector.
They are currently looking for a Project Manager with experience of Primary / Grid substation build on supply networks in UK.
Duties:Leading and supervising power projects - project management, design, supply, installation, testing, commissioning;Resolving specification issues, providing periodic updates to customers, ensuring customer satisfaction; Negotiating and coordinating with sales staff as appropriate for customer-requested changes (price and delivery); Arranging witness tests; Coordinating field service activities;Managing all financial aspects of the project including budgets, costs, margin, invoicing;Developing, maintaining, and managing the overall project schedule;Administering project-related activities so as to ensure that projects are completed on-time, within internal and external quality and specification requirements;Providing leadership to the project team;Controlling safety regulations and service quality.
Must have:
Project Management experience, including HV substation construction, repairing and maintenance and cable jointing, both LV, MV and HV. Must be able to demonstrate a proven track record in the end-to-end delivery of Power Projects, including HSE, CDM, contractual and commercial management, financial control, subcontractors management.
Experience in high voltage (up to 400 kV) substations’ transmission, distribution projects on construction and refurbishment is essential.
