The UAE's leading and largest Building Contractor are looking to recruit a Project Manager to join their Steel Fabrication Division.
Reporting to the General Manager, the responsibilities of the Project Manager will include:
1. Planning, coordinating and executing various steel erection projects.
2. Execution of site steel erection work in accordance with project requirements and schedules.
3. Coordinating and supervising the work of the construction team including construction managers, site engineers, superintendent, foreman, erectors etc.
4. Execution of site steel erection work in accordance with project requirements and schedules.
5. Representing the company's site meeting with client, main contractor and consultants.
6. Responsible for technically safe and economical steel erection.
7. Preparation of steel erection method statement for both tender and site project works.
8. Participate in development of various steel member connection schemes together with the design team.
9. Prepare project program in accordance with contractual requirements.
10. Monitoring, controlling and ensuring that approved project schedule in design, production and erection are followed.
11. Management of project P/L accounts.
12. Following up of payments and claims.
Qualifications:
1. BSc degree in civil / structural engineering from a reputable university.
2. Professionally qualified civil / structural engineer (i.e. MICE, MIStructE and Chartered Engineer from United Kingdom / Australia).
3. Minimum of 10 years experience in erection of structural steelwork.
4. Strong project / contract administration skills.
5. Able to communicate in good written and spoken English.
