This role is based in Doncaster/Rotherham. This role is a fixed term contract until October 2011.
Assist the SYDR Project Manager in planning, coordinating and reporting on the SYDR Project to enable the delivery of the SYDR project in a cost effective timely manner.
Key Results Area
?Developing and maintaining an up-to-date, efficient and viable project plan in order to ensure that progress can be accurately measured against it
?Managing project progress:
?Co-ordinating SYDR activities to ensure completion of milestones within time scales and budgets.
?Scheduling resources as necessary to complete the plan
?Tracking progress
?Identifying, recoding and managing risks
?Developing, producing, storing and issuing accurate, client ready project reports from Thales and KCOM reporting Tools, including
?KCOM management reports
?Noticing, site survey, detailed design work package, construction and as-built reports
?3rd party links, ISP links and IT WAN link reports
?Other similar reports as required
?Supporting the invoicing process
?Assisting with the Application for Payment process deliverables
?Generating & releasing of Invoice Packs to Thales
?Liaising with customers on maters that relate to the SYDR project
?Configuration, Change Control and Administration
?Configuration Control Management (Sharepoint) (ongoing)
?Follow the change control process were required
?Organising project meetings
?Deputising for the project manager as required
Knowledge/Skills and Experience
?Good understanding of project commercial management
?Customer presence
?Proven track record in customer relationship management (internal/ external)
?Proven track record in service delivery
?Tact and diplomacy
?Strong communicator at all levels (oral & written)
?Strong organisational skills

?Ability to multi-task
?Ability to meet deadlines
?Knowledge of bespoke software systems in use
?Strong knowledge of MS Project
?Working knowledge of MS Office
